Network Security Engineering Recruiting
Wizhire recruits Senior, Staff, and Principal Network Security Engineers from Latin America. Network Security Engineering covers firewalls, intrusion detection, network segmentation, zero-trust network access, DNS security, DDoS mitigation, and encrypted traffic analysis.
The Calibration That Matters
Packet analysis ability is the highest-signal technical indicator for network security engineers. A candidate who can open a pcap file and tell you what happened — identify the attack, trace the data flow, diagnose the protocol behavior — is operating at a fundamentally different level than one who relies on dashboards.
Zero-trust understanding separates levels. At IC3, awareness of zero-trust concepts is sufficient. At IC4, the candidate can design a ZTNA implementation. At IC5+, they've driven a zero-trust architecture at organizational scale.
The encryption-visibility tension is a litmus test for Senior+: "More traffic is encrypted. How do you maintain network detection capability?" The quality of the answer reveals architectural thinking.
